About  recessed cans

Recessed down lights have become the most popular style of lighting for
homes in the United States.                                                                                      The popularity of these lights is continuing to grow, U.S. Census Bureau reports           show that over 20 million of these fixtures were manufactured in 2001 alone.

It is estimated that there are currently 350 million units in homes across America. American's are more likely to choose recessed "cans" over   other installed home        lighting fixtures because they are much more economical.                                          They are available as small as 4 inches wide and look like small circles in the ceiling.

All of the wiring is hidden, or recessed into the ceiling or shelving offering direct, unobtrusive light for hallways, family rooms and kitchens.                                                 A huge benefit of recessed lighting is that it can fit into any room without having                  to worry about the style of the light matching the room.

It can also fit anywhere there is a ceiling or wall, even on cabinet shelves.                     There are no fixture styles to worry about and no problem with where the
power cord will run.                                                                                                    All you have to worry about is where you want the light to go and where it will illuminate.
